I Love You Just the Way You Are

I went to Canada to the “Toronto Blessing.” As we sat in the workshop in the morning we were to sit for 15 minutes and concentrate on Jesus and write down what we heard. The poem “I Love You Just as you Are” came flowing onto my paper.

This poem ministered to four people that I witnessed before I left Toronto in such amazing ways. There was no question that it was from the Lord.

The first was a blind 16 year girl that has been estranged from her family for 2 years. She had been told she was no good and ugly. She had not spoken with her parents in 2 years. We were to read aloud what we heard from the Lord. At the end of the service she had a friend run after me for a copy of the poem and she said she was going to take the poem home and reconcile with her parents. She was called into the ministry for the blind.

Blessing No. Two – A lady from the back of the room came and asked for a copy of the poem, said the Lord had given her poetry but she had gotten discouraged and quit and that inspired her to pick up again where she left off.

Blessing No. Three – The Lord put upon my heart to go to a certain lady and speak with her because she needed encouragement. When I did the tears rolled down her cheeks and she had been mentally abused until she did not even know herself anymore – the poem spoke to her to bring about her own worth again.

Blessing No. Four – During the evening service – there were about 2,000 people there – and there was this one woman that I could only see her back and side of her face but it was as though there was a light shining on her and I asked the Lord what He wanted me to do – I did not feel anything in my Spirit, so I just prayed for her and felt that was all of it.

The next morning at the service – her husband sat in front of me – I said “Oh Lord what are you up to I know this is not a coincidence.” The service was almost over and I felt the Lord put upon my heart to give her husband a copy of the poem – I argued with the Lord that he would think I am crazy to just give him a copy of the poem – but how many of you know that when the Lord tells you to do something He doesn’t just let you off the hook. He said “give it to him.” I said alright Lord but he will think I am crazy.

I copied the poem on a piece of paper and put a note on it as follows: “I feel the Lord wanted your wife to have a copy of this poem. If I have missed the mark, tell her it is just a poem, but if I have hit the nail on the head, tell her it is a love letter from the Master.” I tapped him on the shoulder and gave him the poem and note. I tried to get out before he read it but was blocked. He read it and with tears in his eyes turned around to me and said “Boy did the Lord hit the mark.”

They were from Alabama and had been there for 5 days. His wife had trouble receiving love due to an abusive situation with her earthly father and they were leaving that day. His wife would not even come to the service. There were five of them visiting – his wife said she was the only one leaving Toronto without a Blessing so she stayed at the hotel. Her husband tore out of there running to give the poem to her. Can you imagine what a Blessing she had, to know that out of 2,000 people, God chose her to give her that special poem?

This poem has ministered to many, many people.

The mirror of the flesh can
sometimes be very cruel
the enemy uses this
so many he can fool.

Look at yourself in the
reflection of the living water
see yourself through the
eyes of our loving Father.

Man puts worth in how
we look
God tells us our real
worth through his book.

He plants us by the living waters
as trees of wisdom
with healing words from
our Father.

Words from man can leave our
hearts with a deep scar.
The enemy would like you
to think God is very far.

He’s right there with arms
ready to hold.
Waiting for you to surrender
and give him your life to mould.

With every burden you allow
to enter your heart
you have given the enemy grounds for
destruction to start.

As we carry these problems
and try to find ways to fix them or use,
our precious Holy Father
we have, by lack of faith, abused.

Beneath each load of sorrow,
sad face, worry or pounds of weight,
we have not put our trust
in Jesus to determine our fate.

Our Holy Father stands
with outstretched arms that say “come”
this battle for you
I have already won.

Sharon, these poems are very powerful. As I stumbled across your pages, I was chatting in IM with a friend who is going towards healing. I copied one of the poems for her. I knew it was just for her. She was shocked. She replied that God had spoken the same thing almost exactly to her 2 days prior. The next day I found another one for her. My heart pounded as I read becuase I knew it was for her. Your poems minister to my heart so much.. I lost my husband 2 years ago Sept. Suddenly Jesus took him home I know he loved God so much.. God used him to touch many lives in the prison system here in Texas. So many inmates’ lives were changed just because of his joy in the Lord, he gave them the hope they had lost. They made my 3 children and myself the most beautiful hand made cards and each one told their story of how he had touched their lives for this I am grateful. I only hope that my husband knew of his jewels on this earth. I have a hard time because I never got to say goodbye. It’s so hard for me. The Holy Spirit uses me to write prophecy poems to others also.. I always thought this strange but so beautiful. Since his death I can’t write anymore.. When we are hurting first we go to the emergency room, then our private room, then we are ministered to at home, then the saints with encouragement help heal. As one who lost a wife to a drunk driver, had a three year old son with cancer and was once run over by a truck leaving over 400 fractures I understand poetry and I also have written some. I have been a Christian all my life, one of those church pew warming Christians, who thought they were doing all they had to do to get to Heaven. Little did I know there was SO MUCH MORE.

I started searching for more fulfillment in my life and having been raised up knowing about The Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I just never knew the personal Spirit Filled life and how precious your walk can be. I was reading a book about the Holy Spirit and I just spoke out loud, ‘God if this is of you, I want it.’ My life has never been the same since. The Spirit of the Living God is so real. The Holy Spirit is not floating around ‘up there’ for us to look up and pray as if He is far, far away. He is as close as your heart and a thought away.

My walk has become so real and I walk with my hand in the Lord’s and He guides my every step. Several years ago, the Lord started blessing me with the gift of poems for hurting people. When I would see hurting people, my heart would cry out for them and I would ask Jesus if He had a word for them and within minutes, the words come flowing out. I have not put forth an effort to write these poems or bring words on paper that is not in my heart. They are Holy Spirit inspired poems and speak directly to the person’s hurting heart. I have seen these poems minister to thousands of people and turn their thoughts straight to our Healing Jesus.

My ministry (we all have one you know) is to hurting people and I pray God opens my eyes to everyone He sends across my path and if I miss that precious soul, then I pray that God will open your eyes behind me to pick up on what I missed.

At the age of 76 I am now turning my attention for these poems to be carried on to help the hurting heart. I prayed “Lord, if it is your Will, please send someone to me that will carry these poems forward.” My desire was for someone anointed for this ministry to be chosen by God and not my choice of requesting my children to carry this on.

Within one week–God answered that prayer–I received an e-mail from Jeremiah Reyes living in Belgium with a copy of the e-book cover designed for the poems-he has obtained this site and is moving forward to promote the poems. I have no doubt that he has been chosen by God to carry these poems forward.

I am grateful for Jeremiah’s obedience and I have total peace that this is God’s Will. These poems are not from my hand, but were given as prophecy poems to hurting people. They have hit the mark 100% of the time from everyone that I heard from, as you will see as you read the stories about the poems. I pray they will continue to Bless and bring a clear Word to their hearts.
